P.O. GARRETT FUJARSKI SEVENTH PRECINCT
On May 30, 2004 P.O. Garrett Fujarski was working 1900x0700tour of duty assigned to RMP 710 in the Seventh Precinct. At approximately 0005 hours, while on routine patrol P.O. Fujarski observed male subject sitting in a parked car in front of a house on Maple Street in Seaford. When PO. Fujarski asked the subject what he was doing he stated that he was waiting for his friends inside the house.
P.O. Fujarski recalled that he had responded to that same house approximately a month ago for fatal aided. He was aware that the aided lived alone and the house should be vacant. P.O. Fujarski notified CB and requested assistance. The Seventh Precinct officers searched the house and found two subjects on the 2nd floor. Further investigation revealed property from the house in the subjects' car.
As a result of P.O. Fujarski's keen observations, the knowledge of his post, and good, old-fashioned police work, three subjects were placed under arrest for burglary. The residents of Seaford can sleep soundly knowing that officers like P.O. Fujarski are patrolling their streets at night. It is my pleasure to honor you as out Top Cop of the Month for May 2004.
