P.O. TERRENCE HELLER
FOURTH PRECINCT
On October 31, 2008 a male was attacked by a gang of 8 subjects. The male was stabbed several times sustaining life threatening punctures to both of his lungs. The Fourth Squad took charge of the case and identified the suspects, in particular the person responsible for the stabbing. The Detectives exhausted all leads and tips and were unable to locate the subject.
Police Officers John Fallace and Terrence Heller spent the next three weeks canvassing and searching for the subject wanted for the stabbing. On November 19, 2008 Officers Fallace and Hellner were in the Inwood area of the Fourth Precinct. They observed a suspicious vehicle occupied by 4 males, one of the occupants was believed to be the subject they were looking for. The Officers initiated a car stop and in fact identified the passenger as the person sought by the Fourth Squad. The subject was taken into custody without incident and charged with Attempted Murder.
Because of the determination displayed by Police Officers John Fallace and Terrence Heller a dangerous felon with a complete disregard for human life was taken off the streets of Nassau County.
