P.O. ANTHONY RAYMOND

On March 21, 2005 P.O. Giselle Collado was assigned to RMP 504. Officer Collado observed a red 1999 Kia northbound on Franklin Ave. She pulled the vehicle over for a defective brake light. As Officer Collado approached the vehicle she could smell a strong odor of marijuana. She also observed broken glass on the dashboard and steering column of the car. She instructed the driver to turn off the car and hand her the keys.
Plainclothes Officers Thomas Kearney, Daniel Dowsett and Anthony Raymond arrived on scene. The officers did a computer check on the vehicle and discovered that the registration was voluntarily surrendered. As the four officers approached the vehicle the subject was very nervous. He was asked to exit the vehicle. As the subject walked to the rear of the vehicle the officers observed the barrel of a gun sticking out of his sweatshirt pocket. The officers recovered a fully loaded Smith and Wesson 38 caliber revolver and marijuana from the subject.
Police Officers Giselle Collado, Thomas Kearney, Daniel Dowsett and Anthony Raymond worked together and placed an armed and dangerous man under arrest. Their keen observations brought this incident to a safe conclusion.
