THE FIGHT IS NOT OVER!
The County Executive and republican legislators have abandoned the residents of Nassau County. While they approved the Mangano plan to close precincts, you can still voice your opposition.
The republican majority of the Nassau legislature voted unanimously to approve the Magnano plan to close half of Nassau's police precincts.
This will have a profoundly negative affect on public safety and quality of life in Nassau County.
While the plan was approved, the PBA will continue to go forward with the appropriate action to ensure that staffing standards are maintained so that public safety is not compromised.
