Nassau police are trying to find a missing man they said has Down syndrome, is deaf and unable to speak.

The 22-year-old man, Mohammad Saleem, whose arms are tattooed with his former address and telephone number, went missing Thursday night just after 9:30 p.m., police said in a news release.

He's 5-foot-4 and 145 pounds with a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a brown and green jacket, yellow T-shirt, jeans and black boots, police said.

Police say that at 4 p.m., Saleem was seen on Franklin Avenue near Gavrin Boulevard, in Franklin Square. He was waiting in a car in front of a Capital One bank with his sister, a police spokeswoman said.
