On May 9, 2004 at about 4:28 A.M., Misael Pena Hernandez, a self admitted MS-13 gang member and six other gang members attacked the victim on Elk Street in Hempstead. The victim was surrounded and assaulted with beer bottles, baseball bats and knives. The victim was beaten about the head and body and stabbed three times in the leg and three times in the chest. The victim sustained a laceration to his lung, causing it to collapse. He had to be taken to the hospital for emergency surgery as a result of his injuries. Misael currently has a warrant issued for his arrest for Gang Assault 1st Degree. His current whereabouts are unknown.
