Mom sentenced for sex with son's teen friend

January 16, 2009

MORRISTOWN, N.J. - A judge has sentenced a Morris Township mother to four years in prison for having sex with her son's teenage friend.

Josette Taylor must also register under Megan's Law when the 53-year-old is released.

Taylor pleaded guilty in November to one count of sexually assaulting the boy between May and December 2007 when he was 15. Authorities said the relationship began when the boy was 14.

Taylor's physician husband divorced her after her arrest last year.

In court Friday, Taylor apologized and said she has scarred her relationship with her two children.
