Man shot, wounded in Roosevelt

A 21-year-old man was in guarded condition this morning after he was shot, Nassau County police said.
Detectives ask that anyone with information about the crime to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.

A 21-year-old man was in guarded condition this morning after he was shot while in front of a home on Brookside Avenue in Roosevelt, Nassau County police said today.

The victim's identify wasn't released, but he was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow by private car after the 7:20 p.m. shooting.

Police said the victim was in front of 272 Brookside Ave. when a man dressed in black approached the victim and fired four shots.

The suspect fled in a black car, police said.
