Lakeview deli cashier robbed at gunpoint Police are asking anyone with information call them at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential. December 7, 2009 By JOHN VALENTI A man carrying a silver handgun and a black plastic garbage bag entered the RNE Deli on Lakeview Avenue in Lakeview Sunday night - and ordered the cashier to place cash in the bag, police said. The cashier complied, and the man then fled on foot. No one was injured in the incident, Nassau County police said. The robbery took place at 8:54 p.m. Sunday.
