Lakeview deli cashier robbed at gunpoint

A man carrying a silver handgun and a black plastic garbage bag entered the RNE Deli on Lakeview Avenue in Lakeview Sunday night - and ordered the cashier to place cash in the bag, police said.

The cashier complied, and the man then fled on foot.

No one was injured in the incident, Nassau County police said. The robbery took place at 8:54 p.m. Sunday.

Police said the man fled north on Langdon Boulevard.
