Here you will find crime statistics as reported by the Nassau County Police Department. Please note these Statistics do not include crime reported in any villages or cities who have their own police departments (eg: Hempstead, Long Beach, etc.).
These statistics reflect New York State Penal Law definitions and differ from the crime categories reported to the F.B.I. Uniform Crime Reporting System.
