Cops probe Hicksville beating that sent 4 to hospital

Nassau County police are seeking information on a beating in Hicksville early Sunday that left four men, ages 27 to 38, hospitalized with injuries.

According to authorities, the men were standing on West Nicholai Street shortly before 12:30 a.m. when then they were confronted by a group of five men armed with baseball bats. The victims were left with injuries including lacerations, contusions to the face and head, a broken arm and a broken eye socket.

The victims were taken to Nassau University Medical Center. Two were treated and quickly released; two remained for further care.
