Cops use CPR to revive Uniondale man -- then arrest him

A man who had been found unconscious on the floor of a Uniondale home Sunday morning was revived, then arrested, by police officers who found a loaded illegal handgun and marijuana in his room, police said.

The police got an emergency call at 8:43 a.m. reporting that Raymond B. Renwick, 25, was unresponsive. They arrived at the 1044 Harding St. home and began performing CPR on him.

As they tried to revive him they noticed a .357 magnum handgun on his bed and the bags of marijuana throughout the room, police said.

After the officers brought Renwick back to consciousness they arrested him on one charge each of criminal possession of a weapon, of stolen property and of marijuana, police said.

Renwick, whose home address was given as 101 Park Ave., Roosevelt, faces arraignment Monday at First District Court, Hempstead.
