Man charged with purse-snatchings

Cops say he had her pocketbook. And hers and hers and hers and hers and hers.
At first, Lee Schlectman was seen Friday night about 8:50 p.m. by witnesses at the Holiday Inn of Plainview stealing one pocketbook, Nassau police said Saturday.
Patrol officers from the Second Precinct who came to the hotel to investigate and arrest Schlectman, 44, of 162 Kelly Blvd., Staten Island, found in Schlectman's Hyundai vehicle five other stolen pocketbooks from different locations, police said.
Schlectman was being charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property and petty larceny, police said.
He was to be arraigned Saturday, police said.
Management at the hotel, located at 215 Sunnyside Blvd., did not immediately return a message Saturday morning seeking comment.
