An Oceanside man was arrested yesterday on charges of trying to sell a Nassau police uniform patch on Craigslist for $30, police said.
The Oceanside man, was charged with criminal sale of a police uniform, a misdemeanor.
The Oceanside man told detectives that he had the patch, an official uniform shoulder patch, for about 10 years but said he did not remember how he originally obtained it, police said.
He was to be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
