A holiday Stop DWI police enforcement campaign took 75 impaired drivers off the roads in Nassau County, Nassau police said Monday.
The state-funded campaign, called the Stop DWI Holiday Enforcement Initiative, saw extra patrols complement the usual police patrols starting Wednesday at 11 a.m. and running through to Monday at 7 a.m., police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey said.
The arrests included both drivers who were impaired by alcohol and drivers who were impaired by drugs, police said.
