Nassau County police have arrested a Bronx man on charges of forgery after they said he passed about 25 counterfeit $100 bills at the Target store in Westbury.

Crimes against Property Squad detectives said Christian Castillo, 36, of 510 E. 139th St., Bronx, made a series of purchases with the counterfeit bills at the Target on 999 Corporate Dr. between Jan. 27 and Feb. 23.

Castillo was arrested Tuesday at his home about 5:10 p.m., police said, and at the time they found 14 counterfeit $100 bills in his vehicle.

Castillo is charged with eight counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument and was scheduled for arraignment Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
