The incident happened in Hicksville around 11 a.m. yesterday morning.

Police say the 39-year-old woman was waiting for a bus at West John and Wycoff streets.

Cops say a Hispanic woman approached the victim and a Hispanic man came from behind and pressed a knife into her back.

The couple claimed they had kidnapped her husband and demanded money.

The couple brought the woman to her Westbury home to get her wallet and then made her withdraw $3,000 from a bank.

Cops say the victim's husband was never in trouble.
