Cops: Man arrested after buying beer for minors

A Bayville man who bought beer for minors and sold marijuana from his car was arrested over the weekend, Nassau police said.

Joshua K. Montell, 21, of 6 Murray St., was charged with one count of selling marijuana and two counts of unlawful dealing with a child, police said. He was also charged with having fireworks.

Officers put Montell under surveillance after community complaints and they saw him buy beer for minors and sell marijuana from his Jeep, police said.

He was arrested in Bayville at 8:30 p.m. Saturday and held for arraignment in First District Court, Hempstead. Arraignment information was not immediately available Monday.
