Police catch two burglary suspects in Valley Stream

A quick Nassau County police response to a 911 call led to the arrest of two burglary suspects Tuesday as they fled a few blocks away from a Valley Stream home they'd just broken into, authorities said.

The call came in at 12:45 p.m. from a witness who reported that two people had thrown a brick through a window of a Page Road home, then climbed into the house through the broken window, Fifth Squad detectives said.

At the corner of Munro Boulevard and Locust Street, officers spotted two people matching a description and detained them.

Stevens Estrella, 22, of 18 Oceanview Ave., and Kellyann Desola, 23, of 97 Elmwood St., both of Valley Stream, were charged with second-degree burglary. They did not take anything from the home, police said.
