Brooklyn man arrested in Plainview heroin bust

Nassau detectives arrested a Brooklyn man in Plainview Wednesday morning after he agreed to sell heroin to undercover officers, police said.

Police said Radames Lopez, 23, of 350 Starr St., Bushwick, agreed to meet undercover Narcotics / Vice Bureau detectives on Old Country Road to sell them heroin. They said he arrived in a livery cab at 2:20 a.m. - and was promptly arrested.

Police said they seized "two clear plastic bags containing a tan powder believed to be heroin."

Lopez was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
