Cops: N. Bellmore man approached kids, seeking sex

A North Bellmore man was arrested Saturday night for soliciting juveniles for sexual performance in North Bellmore and Westbury.

Detectives said Andrew Quattrone, 26, of 1253 Raymond Rd., first approached a 14-year-old girl who was walking home from school on Camp Avenue in North Bellmore at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said Quattrone asked the girl if she wanted to model and then offered her money for sex. When she refused, Quattrone drove away in a 1998 blue Ford Explorer, police said.

Two hours later, Quattrone approached two girls, ages 12 and 13, who were walking on Tennyson Avenue at Old Country Road in Westbury, police said. After asking their ages, he offered them cash to pose nude and asked if they wanted to participate in an adult film. They said no and Quattrone fled. The girls provided license plate information, police said.

Quattrone was arrested Saturday night at his home and is being charged with three counts of use of a child in a sex performance (attempt), and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was to be arraigned today Monday in First District Court
