DNA from burglary leads police to Queens man
Police said DNA evidence obtained from the scene of a January burglary led them to arrest a Queens man Thursday in a string of five burglaries dating back to February 2009.

Fritz Armand, 46, of 111-15 Farmers Blvd., Jamaica, was arrested by Nassau County police Bureau of Special Operations officers near his home at 12:15 p.m. Thursday.
He was charged with five counts of second-degree burglary, police said Friday.
Police said Armand was arrested following a burglary in January where DNA evidence was obtained. They said the burglaries for which Armand was charged were in East Meadow, Merrick, Plainview and Woodbury - and date back to Feb. 9, 2009.
Armand was scheduled for arraignment Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
