5 FROM ELMONT CHARGED IN ROBBERIES.

Five Elmont residents have been charged with committing several robberies, Nassau County police said yesterday. Kemar Moore, 22, Francis Metellus, 22, Monique White, 17, Tiffany DeWalker, 17, and Melissa Joseph, 16, were each charged with six counts of second-degree robbery. The charges stem from five robberies Friday in three communities. The first occurred in Valley Stream, the next two in Garden City and the last two in Elmont. Police spokesman Thomas Blanchard said the arrests were made based on eyewitness descriptions of the suspects' car. All were charged as adults, police said.
