NASSAU PBA ENDORSES CRAIG JOHNSON
Special Election to be held on February 6th.

MINEOLA – The Nassau County Police Benevolent Association (PBA) today endorsed Craig Johnson for State Senate in the 7th district special election, citing his record of being tough on crime and helping to protect children. Members of the PBA gathered to show their support with Johnson at a press conference in the Nassau County courthouse.
“The police officers of Nassau County are proud to support Craig Johnson for State Senate,” PBA President Gary DelaRaba said.
With over 2,000 members, the PBA is the largest law enforcement union on Long Island.
“The police officers of Nassau County are proud to support Craig Johnson for State Senate,”
PBA President Gary DelaRaba said. “Craig Johnson has a strong record of being tough on crime and protecting our children. In the county legislature, Craig wrote laws to protect children from sexual predators and from the dangers of pesticides and second hand smoke.”
“We need to keep an independent voice representing the hard-working families of Nassau County in the State Senate. Craig Johnson is the right candidate to fill Mike Balboni’s shoes,” said DelaRaba.
Craig Johnson said, “I’m proud to have the support of the men and women of the Nassau PBA who work so hard to protect our families and children. I’ve made protecting children a priority in the county legislature, but there is so much more we can do to stay tough on crime and help keep our communities and families safe in the state legislature.”
Johnson is a candidate for the 7th Senate District seat vacated by Michael Balboni, the incumbent State Senator. Balboni resigned from his seat to serve as Director of Homeland Security under Governor Spitzer.
The district encompasses the entire town of North Hempstead. It also includes the communities of Elmont, Floral Park, South Floral Park, Stewart Manor, Bellerose, Franklin Square, and part of Hicksville.
