Hundreds showed up Eisenhower Park for a fundraiser in memory of Nassau Police officers Michael Califano and Geoffrey Breitkopf.

Califano died Feb. 5 when a flatbed truck crash into his patrol car on the Long Island Expressway. A month later, Breitkopf was shot and killed by friendly fire while on the job.

The double tragedy inspired people from both Suffolk and Nassau counties. Participants paid a $20 dollar entry fee for a day of family fun that will go toward helping the families of both officers.
