Nassau County police officers remember the 29 department members lost in the line of duty between 1925 and 1993 at a memorial service in Mineola.
Nassau police honor their fallen

The memorial ceremony was held Thursday to honor of Nassau County Police Department members who died over the past year.

The service, part of National Police Week, was held at the Police Memorial on the front lawn of police headquarters in Mineola.

Floral tributes were placed at the memorial honoring the dead. Rank and file members, police academy cadets, the NCPD Police Pipe Band and the NCPD Color Guard participated.
