Nassau County P.B.A Hosts Charity Picnic

Tuesday September 21sth Nassau P.B.A hosted a charity picnic at Eisenhoower Park in East Meadow NY in support of the Wounded Warrior Project. Through donations from the P.B.A, Nassau Police Department members as well as generous private donations approximately $25,000 was raised.

Nassau P.B.A Union Delegates shown here grilling up burgers for the supporters who attended the event. Money was raised through raffle sales, wounded warrior tee-shirts and Nassau P.B.A hats and tee-shirts. Donations from several large and small companies contributed to some much needed financial support.

The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization which raises the awareness and enlists the public's aid for the needs of severely injured men and women. Their objective is to provide support for the severely wounded and help them on the road to healing both physically and mentally.
