Nassau PD VS Suffolk PD 2011 Tug Of War

Hosted By Long Islands favorite radio station WBAB, Nassau Police And Law Enforcement Officers faced off with Suffolk County Police and Law Enforcement Officers in a Tug-Of-War battle with all proceeds going to The Wounded Warriors project.

Once again WBAB morning radio Jocks Roger and JP hosted this years Nassau / Suffolk Law Enforcement Tug - Of - War contest. This years event was well attended and brought in much needed money benefiting the wounded warriors project. See links for shortcut to Wounded warriors Homepage, and WBAB Tug - Of - War page.

Teams were made up of the three branches of law enforcement personnel in each county including members of the Police Department, Sheriffs Department and Correction Officers.

The Suffolk County Police team successfully defended last years title along with the Suffolk County Sheriffs Dept. Nassau County Correction Officers won their battle. Each battle was hard fought and truly tested the endurance of those participating.

This was the fourth year for this fund raiser. With all proceeds to going to this worthy cause each year brings a bigger crowd and more proceeds. Thanks to Long Islands own WBAB and morning radio jocks Roger and JP for hosting this event. Long Islands law enforcement personnel are proud to participate in this event and look forward to doing battle in years to come.
