The 2009 Nassau vs Suffolk Police Tug-Of-War Rematch

The 2009 Tug-Of-War competition grudge took place on a beautiful evening at Jones beach Field four.Members of the Nassau County Police were there to defend the cup won in last years victory in the first Tug-Of-War match. This was an all county law enforcement match including the Correction Officers and the Sheriffs Dept's from both counties

 

Hosted by Long Island radio station WBAB this was a highly successful family event. Pictured here WBAB radio Jocks Roger and J.P. took the time to pose for pictures with a NCPD supporter.

 

Both County Law Enforcement members were here in support of the Wounded Warriors Project

 

Last years battle lasted for almost 13 grueling minutes but this year SCPD turned the tables on the NCPD team.

 

Grudge match competitiveness and departmental pride gave way in the as end both teams showed true sportsmanship for a well fought battle.

 

Both teams look forward to next years battle with NCPD members determined to bring the cup back to Nassau County.
