NCPD Cop takes on drunken driving after crash

Cop takes on drunken driving after crash
Two years ago today, a Nassau County police officer was nearly killed by a drunken driver, but despite his injuries, he continues to inspire others.
On May 18, 2008, Rahiem Griffin crashed into the back of Officer Kenneth Baribault's patrol car on the Long Island Expressway in Plainview, leaving the officer partially paralyzed.
These days, Baribault is walking with the help of a cane, but he says it won't prevent him from taking part in this Saturday's Mothers Against Drunk Driving Walk at Farmingdale State College.
"I'm definitely going to be thinking how thankful we are that Ken is here," says Baribault's sister Danielle Rella.
Griffin was convicted in the DUI crash last year and sentenced to seven years.
