As Jews begin celebrating Rosh Hashanah tonight, police on Long Island are tightening security around synagogues.
Police boost security near temples for High Holidays

Ever since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, police have been beefing up their presence around houses of worship and Hebrew schools during the High Holidays.

Although there haven't been any specific threats, Nassau police say they want people to know help is there if needed
