Camp Anchor carnival, a PBA sponsored event was held at Lido Beach Town Park on July 15th 2011. This annual event is held to support and enhance the Camp Anchor summer program. For more information click the Camp Anchor link below.
Nassau County PBA 2011 sponsored Camp Anchor carnival

This years carnival marked the one year anniversary of the passing of Camp counselors Jaime Malone, 22; Paige Malone, 19; and Michael Mulhall, 22 who were killed in a auto accident on the meadowbrook parkway while on their way to camp anchor. A memorial was dedicated to their memory on the camp site at Lido Beach.

Over 50 Nassau Police Officers were on hand cooking lunch for the campers and operating many of the carnival amusements.

NCPD Police equipment was on display for campers to get a true hands on experience
