Water patrols increase to keep boaters safe

Police have increased BWI patrols on Long Island waters to ensure people are not boating while intoxicated this summer.
Water patrols increase to keep boaters safe

The additional patrols will not only be scanning the waterways for boaters under the influence, but will also be checking that Jet Ski operators are properly certified.Police will also be checking that boats are properly equipped with life jackets and other various safety measures.
