NCPD PBA President Gary DelaRaba To Retire

Nassau County Police PBA President Gary DelaRaba has announced his plans to retire May 17th. Police Officer DelaRaba has served the residents of Nassau County as a NCPD cadet and police officer for more than thirty seven years.

DelaRaba was elected to the post of PBA President July, 1988 and has been an elected officer of the PBA since January, 1976.

Recently voted #18 on Long Island Press Power List 2007, DelaRaba has been a long time favorite subject of Newsday columnists and cablevision editorials for his tough contract negotiations and his resistance to politicians attempting to cut police services.
